Frederikssund
In mediaeval times there was only a ferry-crossing where Frederikssund is today. The area was uninhabited meadow and the ferry was simply a barge that was pulled over the fjord by rope.
A lot has happened since. Today Frederikssund is a lively provincial town and a fast-developing municipality.
