The Fjord Country has several excellent fishing sites where you can dream of a good catch while enjoying the surroundings and waiting for your dream to come true.

You may want to try Vellerup Vig on the Isefjord, where there are sea trout. In the garfish season (Maj-June and September) it’s time to put on your waders or get into your dinghy to try your luck just north of Kronprins Frederiks Bro, the bridge connecting Frederikssund with Hornsherred.

If you are fishing with a rod and are 18-65 years of age you’ll need to buy a fishing permit. Permits are valid for one day, one week or one year. They can be purchased at the Frederikssund Tourist Information Centre but can also be bought online. At that site you can too read the fishing regulations.
